When did you come to RBCPC? What made you stay?
Although I came to RBCPC to lead the Children's Ministry program, I have come to love the church and the people that both serve and attend here. There is this amazing sense of family and community. You can't help but feel connected to the people and what God is doing here.
What's your role at RBCPC?
As the leader of Youth and Children's Ministries, it is my privilege to serve young people and their families through fun, dynamic programs that teach about Jesus. Our Youth and Kids have the opportunity to connect with the Bible and each other through interactive lessons, games (sometimes crazy ones), dynamic worship and small group discussions and activities. I am humbled that I get to be a part of their growth in Christ.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the little things - seeing a child's face light up when they connect with God's teaching; kids gathered around a foosball table in fellowship; a small group leader laughing out loud as they engage kids in discussions. I'm also a big fan of puppets and music. Seeing God at work in the lives of kids and their families is the biggest inspiration and motivation of why I am in ministry.
What's your background?
My initial degree and background is in Marketing and Communications. I spent many years going to college and then working as an executive manager in northern California in the printing and publishing business. In addition to working in Children's Ministry, which included a major church plant, I was also an elementary school art teacher. Currently, I am working on my Master's Degree in Christian Education.
