This was an amazing project!!! Thank you so much to everyone in our church and community who stepped in and stepped up to do an incredible thing for a family in need. This month, we highlight Walindwa. This mission is dedicated to improving the quality of life of, and bringing hope to the children of Kenya and their families. Walindwa shows God’s abundant love and compassion through education, shelter, healthy living, and spreading Christian values.

Heartstrings Knitting and Crocheting
First Saturday of each month, 9:00 to 11:00 in Room 220.

Come rest in God’s amazing love. Scripture readings, prayer, and quiet worship music invite you to become more aware of His presence. NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides a support group for those dealing with a brain disorder or mental illness, or for those providing for them. The NAMI support group provides a safe, caring atmosphere to discuss issues related to mentall illness. We're a safe place to share helpful information, gain knowledge of community support systems, and share methods of dealing with issues and concerns encountered with loved ones with a brain disorder. Deacons are the heart, hands, and feet of a caring congregation serving those who are in need of physical, emotional, and spiritual support. Our priority is service to those within our congregation and then to help provide support to those within our local community. Your donations to the Deacons helps us continue to help others. RBCPC offers a relaxed Marriage Mentoring program for engaged and married couples in a confidential one-on-one setting. They are paired with certified volunteer mentors to take couples' marriages from good to great or to help them navigate the marriage journey. Fliers are available in the Welcome Center. Mentor Moms Needed

The MOPS mothers (Mothers of Preschoolers) are in search of mothers who have taken the journey of motherhood to be our mentor moms. Contact Robyn Elbayadi, , (626) 379-0351.
Our Pastors are happy to celebrate Christian weddings at our local venues along with providing premarital counseling. RBCPC also offers the opportunity for the couple to have a volunteer trained mentor couple. "Have a Christian Wedding at Your Site" brochures are available in the Welcome Center. We all experience challenges in life. There are times when everyone could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen Ministers receive over 50 hours of training and are ready to provide the confidential, emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with any type of change or difficulty.

San Diego Air & Space Museum (Balboa Park)
Thursday, July 20, 2017, $50 / person.
The docent tour includes the WW II, Jet & Space Age, and Golden Age of Flight Galleries as well as the many exhibits ranging from the Wright Bros. to the Apollo programs. Hear about the San Diego air and space connections including the Spirit of Louis. Lunch included at a local restaurant.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Glendale)
Wednesday, September 13, 2017, $95 / person.
Known for its famous Hollywood stars; Forest Lawn offers an extraordinary array of art works including the narrated stain glass reproduction of di Vinci’s “Last Supper”; the panoramic painting (nearly 200 feet wide) of the Crucifixion plus the Resurrection; and a myriad of other works. Take a docent tour of the best of Forest Lawn PLUS have lunch at the famous “Tam ‘O Shanter” Restaurant on Los Feliz Blvd; included!
